Climate update from Aly Tharp

Kindra Muntz - Tuesday, November 17, 2015

Hello Everyone,

A piece of good news from Utah -- the cancellation of a Bureau of Land Management extraction lease auction for public lands in response to organized civilian opposition:

The UUA, UU Food Justice Ministry, UU Young Adults for Climate Justice and Christopher Sims (a deeply involved UU justice activist and writer) all signed the petition to the White House that is mentioned in the article. I hope that we will celebrate this victory and continue UU involvement in these mobilizations to stop extracting fossil fuels on public lands.

In the spirit of peace and gratitude,

Aly Tharp

network coordinator, UU Young Adults for Climate Justice (www.uuyacj.org)
